HAPPY TUESDAY!!! …. I have to say… I do wish it were closer to the weekend! I’m looking forward to my Mom, Dad and brother coming into town! Julie and I thought doing a Monochromatic card would be alot of fun! (I could personally do monochromatic for weeks! I love them!) I had fun using a flower punch that I hadn’t used yet. I do think you will be seeing more of them! I hope you enjoy!
Make sure to run over to Julies blog! If you’d like to play along, please use keyword SFR8! (Is this accurate, Jules? ..woah!) Thank you SOOOO much for stopping by and so much for your continued kind words!! ♥
Another Tuesday and another glorious day out there! This week, the talented Julie came up with an awesome sketch for us to do this week!
I forgot how much I love sketch challenges! THANK YOU, JULIE! Isn’t it cute!!?
I loved the paper I used so much, I had a hard time NOT adding anymore to this card.. I hope it doesn’t classify me as cheating on the sketch! (Sometimes I just don’t know when to stop! lol)
I know I can’t wait to see what Julie created this week, so I hope you will check it out as well! If you are playing along and want to upload to Splitcoast, make sure to use Keyword SFR7! THANK YOU so much for stopping by!!
Happy Tuesday, friends! Hope you all had a nice Valentines and Presidents Day! I took the day off of work so I could stay home with the boys! It was great, we went to the zoo, the kids had a blast! We had an absolute perfect weather day. Low 50′s and overcast. Now if only it could stay that way all year.
This week Julie and I thought we’d jump from one Holiday to the next and do a St. Patricks Day card! It sounded GREAT, until I realized all I really had was green product, so I did my best!
I hope you will all hop on over to Julies blog to see her gorgeous card!! If you’re interested in playing along with us, this weeks keyword is SFR6. Again, thank you SOOOO much for stopping by! ♥

HAPPY TUESDAY!!! Hope you are all having a fantastic week so far! This week Julie and I decided to do a Thank You card for our challenge! We can’t ever have enough of them and I have needed to send some out for months!
The inspiration for my card came from the **AMAZING** Double D Ranch! They gave us all a preview of their Spring 2014 line on their Facebook Page. As always, I am in complete awe. I am SO in love with this stunning poncho! (Well, that and everything that Double D Ranch has ever created!) Make sure to check out the DDR STORE & swing by and like the Facebook page! Not only are they incredibly talented, but so generous and nice too!
I hope you will enjoy!
Make sure to head over to Julie’s blog to see her amazing card! If you’d like to play along with us, make sure you let us know or if you are on SCS, use SFR3 for your keyword! Last but not least… THANK YOU!! so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a great rest of your week!
Happy Tuesday! SFR2, you say? Julie and I have decided to name our weekly challenge as Stamping Friends Reunion! She also had a brilliant idea of posting it with SFR2 (or the number of the challenge it is), that way if you choose to play along with us and happen to upload to Splitcoaststampers.com, we can see what you do!
Julie choose what we were using as our theme this week! She said boys birthday and I couldn’t YES fast enough. I couldn’t WAIT to use my trusty “old” Inkadinkado Halloween Skull set. Once a favorite ALWAYS a favorite! I was also pretty excited to use some of the new paper and new skulls I bought at Archivers a few weekends ago! I cannot begin to tell you how sad I am that they are closing all of their stores! On a brighter note, here is my card.
I have to say, I’m proud of myself for actually used one of these adorable Tim Holtz Skulls. Skulls are my favorite. Even though I bought two packages, I could see myself hoarding them for years. HA HA. Make sure to go see Julie’s card over at Paper Pleasing Ideas! I know I personally cannot wait to see what she’s come up with!
I *MUST* add.. sending you all a HUGE heartfelt hug for all of your kind comments and reply’s to me about my last weeks card. It means SO much to me! Have a wonderful week!! ♥
Hello! Is there anybody out there? I was approached a week or so ago by a dear stamping friend, Julie Funk asking me if I still stamped…. I answered back with well.. I would LIKE to tell you I still did, but it has been a very long time, TOO long. She had the brilliant idea of challenging each other to get back into it on a more regular basis and I LOVED that idea!
This week we decided to do a Valentines card challenge. I realize mine is super simple…don’t judge! It’s been too long! I used an old favorite stamp set from Inakadinkado. Did you know if you don’t use your clear stamps for years they stick REALLY good to that plastic? I guess I’m lucky nothing ripped while I peeled them off. lol.
A HUGE thank you to you, Julie! Thank you SO much for getting me up into my Stamp Room! I really look forward to our weekly challenges! Please hop on over to her blog: PAPER PLEASING IDEAS to check out what she did this week!
Testing… does this blog still work? If so… and if you are reading this, then thank you very much!!! I hope everyone is well! I haven’t made a “Just because I really wanted to make a card” card in so long that I thought I’d post it.
Here’s a close up of the glitter.
I used the Inkadinkado Clear set, Ornate Christmas. Martha Glitter on the snowman, scarf, hat and black snowflake. Martha embossed snowflake punch. Paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle.
Speaking of Martha Stewart Glitter.. I had alot of fun altering some ornaments for our tree this year. I couldn’t bear to throw away a bunch of old gold ornaments I had bought years ago. They were pretty…just gold, which is fine but doesn’t match my things anymore. Although the pictures aren’t the best (I need a new camera..my battery and charger are shot, so I rely on the Iphone for everything) I thought I’d share them with you. I was proud of myself.
Half of them I spray painted a Glossy White and the other Half with Rustoleum’s Metallic Silver. Once dried and fully covered, I sprayed adhesive onto them, sprinkled with various Martha Stewart Glitter (the coarser snow and crystal like glitter) and then sprayed a clear gloss top coat of spray paint to help the glitter from falling off when touched. I think they turned out ok! I did some wire stars as well, but need to get pictures taken. Here’s a picture of the finished tree. Too bad you can’t tell the wall behind the tree is silver too…it reflects so neat at night.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
Hello! I really hadn’t realized it had been almost a year since my last post. :/ I thought I’d give you a breif update on life. I am now graduated from Cosmetology school awaiting my license. I also recieved an amazing email a month or so ago from EK Success asking me to be part of their freelance team! I was thrilled! I am also still working with Hampton Art, mostly for the suppliment catalogs. I just finished 8 samples for the Winter Suppliment for Hampton so I thought I’d share some with you. Hope this finds you all doing well!
Here is a close up…. just because I thought the colors of the paper and copper stickles were so pretty.
Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my creations with you! I’ll be back soon with the rest.
