Hello!! I just loved reading your comments and stories about your own kids drawing on things! So cute!! I love that he wants to “color” with me because I know if a few years I won’t be able to pay him to do it! LOL!

My friend Julia’s Ways to Use it Challenge today is using small stamps! I have LOTS of small stamps. In FACT, I just got my Designer Kit from Lizzie Anne Designs 2 days ago and it’s filled with them! I just LOVE their images, so I JUMPED at her challenge this week! I used 2 of their brand new sets, Gettin’ Hitched and Shapes and Stitches!! Aren’t they the CUTEST!!!!!!!! I don’t even know anyone getting married, but you’ll probably be seeing a TON of this set! lol! I ALSO, just started selling Lizzie Anne Designs in my store!! Hello!!!  I had wanted to make a yellow, white and black card for days now. I finally got the chance yesterday! I used my Simply Stated Fancy Pants stamp set. I love their stamp sets! Well, When I went to take a picture of it this morning, I saw that Brett had done a little drawing! lol!! I wasn’t going to upload it, but I still really do like the card and won’t have more time to stamp until later today!  Oh well. lol. Have a fabulous day!

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Rose Red

Cardstock: Whisper White

Designer Paper: Classic K Pink and Blue Paisley and K McKenna Pink Circle and Diamonds Flat Paper (K and Company)

Accessories: Border Trim Rubon (Basic Grey) Sponge, String, Beads, Fishing Line, Flower Jewels (Heidi Swapp) Rhinestones (Hero Arts) Paper Piercing Tool, Close To Cocoa Marker, White Organdy Ribbon, Brown Gingham (May Arts)

How I did it!

I made a Whisper White card to 4 3/4″ square. I cut the pink paper to 4 1/2″ square and lightly stamped the French Script in Close to Cocoa on it. I then cut a scrap piece of paper to 2 1/4″ square. Traced that on the blue paisley paper and cut it out using the Friskars cutter orange blade, for the frame. I traced that same square on the pink and white paper for the “window”. I then sponged all the edges with the cocoa ink, adhered the frame to the pink paper, tied the ribbon around the pink paper, then attached it to the main card. I then paper pierced around the frame, and added the jewel flowers. Added the rubon border, tied on the HB, and I think that’s it! lol!

For the beaded strands…First I stamped the little pieces, cut them out and sponged the edged. I tied the ends of 3 pieces of fishing line and added the beads on. adding the little pieces in by taping them on. When I was done I scotch taped the strands onto the card! Just make another frame to adhere to the inside of the card to cover your tape and whalla!

Happy Mothers Day everyone!! I hope you all enjoy your day!! Here’s a quick card I made this morning. I really wanted to use my new Fern Martha Stewart paper. Then when looking through my stamps, I found Nature Prints! I had TOTALLY forgotten about that set! For the ferns, I stamped them in close to cocoa, then mixed always artichoke and chocolate chip for the green, to try and match the paper! I lightly stamped weathered on the fern paper, not sure if you can see that or not! Have a fabulous day!!!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a fantastic week!! It’s time for another take two!! This time Trudee, Julia and MICHELE!!! (our newest bloggin’ buddy!) have desided to use the Aged Floral’s collection by Fancy Pants Designs and Happy Everything by Stampin’ Up!

I started by distressing all the layers of my card. Then I did a “Trudee” lol and outlined all the paper in my Sakura Gel Pen for sparkle! I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for the sentiment. Added the flowers and butterfly, and that’s about it! Of course I wanted to add some faux sewing, but I didn’t…it was very hard not to! lol! Thank you so much for stopping by!! I also agree with EVERYTHING that was said about the new SU catty! The most popular was probably Masculine Sets…TOTALLY agree…they took most of them away LAST year. Happy Wednesday everyone!!! It’s my son Brett’s 4th birthday today!!! Yes, close together..I was SO relieved when I had Austin and realized they would be in different weeks! We are going to a Dinosaur Museum, and anything else he wants to do. There’s also a new trampoline waiting for him out back! Should be a super fun day! Here’s a pic of my big boy!

One of my favorite things to do is color floral images in browns! I like to do things a little different lol.  I had the song Amarillo by Morning (by George Straight) in my head the other day so I wanted to use my Amarillo paper by Cosmo Cricket. lol. But when I was looking through my paper the Wanted line my Cosmo Cicket struck my fancy! Then I thought it would be fun to pair it up with one of my Anna stamps! Sort of unexpected pair, but that’s what I like to do best! Here it is! You all have a great GREAT day!!
