Embellished

Hello!!! My friend Anna and I have been waiting to do a showdown with our new SU western sets ever since we laid eyes on them! I am so glad it’s finally time AND I am sooo glad there’s other out there that freaks over anything Western too!!! WAHOO!!!! lol. All I really knew starting out was that I wanted to stamp the cowboy in black on a window sheet. Everything sorta came from there! I used the Souvenir collection by Cosmo Cricket. On the green piece, I wheeled the new cowboy wheel on it. I swear it’s been YEARS since I’ve used my wheels! That was fun! I then faux stitched two lines, added the big pewter eyelets…(WITH my Crop-A-Dile…SO GLAD I was able to finally figure it out! lol) Added the herringbone. Then I stamped and cut out the genuine. Just to be different I cut half of it off and colored with my ink pads and blender pen! It was SUCH a bugger to photograph and not get a reflection in it! lol!! Card Measure’s 5×5.

Hello!! This is the last sample that I made for the DTGD challenges! This one was for Jody’s challenge for Brads!! WAHOO I love brads, so I was thrilled to make a sample for her! Unfortunatly her challenge was last Friday? I thought it was today! Not like you HAVE to do them on that day, but still! lol.

I had originally wanted to use my new basic grey SU color! I love that color! But when looking through my box (yup…still haven’t fully gotten everything out lol) I realized I had accidently bought the 12×12 paper instead of the pad! UGH! Oh well! So I desided to use the sahara sand instead. That worked out well though, because it matches the new SU ribbon I got!

I thought it would be fun to use this set in a sorta “non” masculine way. I really wanted to use my polka dot background too! lol. So it works!

Ink: Sahara Sand

Cardstock: Sahara Sand and Whisper White

Accessories: Tag punch, Organdy ribbon, silver brads

Hello!! Hope your all having a super great weekend! I am so excited that’s it’s my challenge day!! You can find it HERE! My challenge is to make a brown and black card because I just LOVE making them! I thought I’d put a WAY different spin on a darling set by Lizzie Anne Designs! So I used my Tres Jolies! :)  I really had a ton of fun getting it dirty!

All the flowers are embossed with SU’s detail black embossing powder, cut out, then sponged with black stazon. For the main flower I cut out another flower, layered it with the prima and brad and put it in the middle with a pop up glue dot for extra dimension! On the main black piece the paisley is also embossed with black detail embossing powder!  OH and on the brown too! lol. So no ink other than versamark and stazon for sponging! :)  I hope you’ll all play my challenge too! Here is my card!

Happy Saturday!! WAHOO for the weekend!! I hope you all have fun plans!! I am so excited, my sister is in town so it’s already fun, no matter what we do! I did this sample for Toy for the DTGD challenge today! This was really a hard one for me! You can check out what it was here. This was my final project!

After I colored the main images, I outlined it with my favorite grey marker from Tombo! I got mine at Anna’s Ebay store Here! It’s the perfect shade, I wish I would have got one a long time ago! All of the edges are lightly sponged with the black stazon pad!

Hello!! Hope your all having a super fun day!! I made this card for Beate’s sketch challenge today for the DTGD going on over at SCSers! Of course I HAD to use one of my new western SU stamp sets!

 Once again the colors were totally inspired by southwestern colors! I just love turquoise and coral! I was looking through a magazine…maybe it was Cowboy’s and Indians and saw a gorgeous tablecloth that had these colors in it and I knew exactly what I was going to do! I colored the circle with my SU markers, then cut it out and placed it behind the popped up Wanted “sign”. Then I cut out the smaller flower and attached it to the wanted.  I really wanted to distress that edge of the turqoise paper, but I could NOT find my tool, so I ended up using a file…it ended up okay. There are red paisley’s and circle’s with stars in it on the red paper, not sure if you can see that! I hope you enjoy!! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!
