Product Spotlight! Quick and Easy Gift!

Published by jacksonbelle at 12:05 am under My Creations

Hello!! Sorry it’s been a few days since I’ve posted! I’ll have more time once all the mono orders are filled! I am more than halfway done! YAY! :) I really wanted to do a product spotlight for my forum on Splitcoaststampers. I had asked for suggestions and one said the Basic Grey Chipboard, one said the Daisy D Transfer Tape Runners, so then I was thinking…hmm…which one! I decided to do all of them plus more! lol! :)

I started out by covering this bag with the new Basic Grey Figgy Pudding paper. I put the brown and blue polka dots first, then the presents paper, then a strip of the STUNNING Websters Pages Snowflake Dufex paper! This paper is so gorgeous. It’s much thicker than designer paper. It’s similar to the Stampin’ Up Brushed Metallic paper. I then decided it was time to add some Stitching! It would be rather difficult to faux sew on a bag, so I though the Daisy D transfer tape runners would be perfect and they were!! I tried so hard to get the zig zag to go over both layers, but that was proving to be very difficult. I could get it to for an inch or so, then it would mess up and I’d have to remove it and start over. So not wanting to waste any more I decided just to use it regularly. I used the layers of the paper as a guide so I could do it straight! :) These are so fun to use!! The white has little black dots on it to give it the appearance of depth! VERY COOL! My first thought was umm….hmm…. LOL. But I was wrong! :) Here is a close up for you!

I was trying to think of a stamp that I had that would be large and bold enough for the bag. Also one that could compete with all the patterns and colors I used. I couldn’t think of anything, then remembered the brand new Basic Grey Undressed Ornament Chipboard I have! This stuff ROCKS! It comes on thinner sheets of chipboard, you punch it out, peel the back off and stick it on! YES, I said stick! They are self adhered! The new Figgy Pudding Stickers match perfectly with the chipboard so I stuck the sticker on it, put stickles on the edges and added a little rhinestone for the center! So easy! For the final touch on the bag, I embossed my new Happy Holiday’s Inkadinkado stamp on the bottom right hand corner in the detail silver EP!

I thought it would be cute to make a matching gift tag. Very simple, a few layers of paper. I added 2 more lines of the straight stitch rubon’s at the bottom. Cut out a dufex snowflake and added a rhinestone. For the “curling ribbon” I cut a few strips of matching paper, tied them on with the hemp that’s holding the tag and curled them with a watercolor brush.

The card. Another very simple and easy card to make. A few layers of paper, a few row of stitches…did you see, I got themto go on on the two layers this time! YAY! :)

Another Figgy Sticker, some brads and more stickles!

I haven’t bought the new stamps for myself yet, but my friend Michele has and she actually has it on her blog today!! HERE is a link to see it! ALSO, she’s having a Blog Giveaway AND she’s giving away some Figgy Pudding!! YUM! :) So make sure to stop by!  I am going to have a little challenge until Nov. 5th. If you make a card using any Figgy Pudding, Websters Dufex, Basic Grey Chipboard or Daisy D Transfer Tape’s, link me your blog or gallery and I will randomly draw a winner for a goodie bag!! :D Thanks so much for stopping by! HUGS!
