One Layer Jbelle Challenge and a CONTEST!!

Happy Tuesday!! Hope you are having a great one!! Our challenge this week is to do a 1 layer card. EEKKK!!! This is sooo beyond hard to do! lol. I just HAD to use the Martha Stewart Punch Graveyard, (because it would match my spooky new Inka stamps!) but didn’t know HOW to do it with only 1 layer. My friend Rachel came up with an awesome idea! To punch it on copy paper then sponge it onto the card! It was sorta a pain, but it worked!! :D (At first I was thinking of punching the bottom of the card, but when you try to do that, unless you do a tricky fold or something it is upsidedown) Anyway, here is what I came up with.

spookyghost111.JPG

I used the NEW Inka set Happy Haunting!  The bats came from the bats that are flying out of the pumpkin! Of course the graveyard at the bottom is from Martha! I finished it off with Black Diamond Stickles!

Are you ready for a contest!!!??? Here’s the deets: Starting Today we (the fantastic Design Team and I) will be posting the Tuesday Challenges, and THIS month all the challenges will be what you need to follow for the contest! We’d LOVE for you to play along!

The grand prize winner will receive a $50.00 Gift Certificate to my store! 2nd Place, $30.00 and 3rd place $15.00! There will be a goodie package going out to ALL winners!! If you decide to play each week, you will need to email your card to jacksonbelle.embellishments@gmail.com. Make SURE to link your card to the store blog as well. That way we can ALL see the cards and your name will be entered into a random drawing. THAT person will also win a goodie bag!

Here are the rules. You have to use Inkadinkado, Stampavie, Prima or Basic Grey stamps. (Any stamps that can be purchased at the store) as well as use one of our Tuesday challenges that I will post here each Tuesday! You can enter as many times as you’d like!  As always, we will post coordinating Keywords for the challenges if you are posting on Splitcoaststampers.com, so we will all be able to see your card(s)!

Following the last Tuesday’s challenge (Sept. 28th), you will have until Thursday, Oct. 1st at midnight (EST) to get your cards to us! After that, the design team and I will need a few days to decide on the winners!! Make sure to check out the design team’s blogs and store blog each week for LOTS of inspiration using the weekly challenges! We hope you will have time to play with us and if you have ANY questions, please feel free to ask!

Make sure to check out the other awesome designs from the Rockstars!!

Spooky Birthday Halloween Box

Published by jacksonbelle under Inkadinkado Designs

HELLO! I wanted to make a box for my BF’s Mom’s for her birthday. Can I just say…I LOVE IT! Sorry, but this is just one of those times where I just have to say how darned proud of it I am! LOL! :) It all started out with THIS Provo Craft Box. I painted it black with my Making Memories black paint, then put the Making Memories Clear Glitter Glaze on top. I love how the black paint picked up the green in the glitter. I think it looks really neat!

box3.JPG

I stamped a punch of pumpkins from the Pumpkins Galore set. The large pumpkins I stamped in Really Rust and Pumpkin SU ink. On a few pumpkins I stamped THIS spider on it. The smaller pumpkins I colored with barely banana and mustard markers.  I layered them onto the bottom of the box and added SU gingham ribbon. The super cool bat comes from THIS stamp set, Mindscape Halloween. Once I cut out and attached the bat with pop up glue dots, I added Black Diamond Stickles to it.

box2.JPG

boxspiders.JPG

Around the bottom part of the lid, I added black ruffled ribbon, gingham ribbon and polka dot ribbon.  The polka dot paper on top comes from last years halloween paper from Making Memories. I embossed THIS spider web on it on black 3 times. I added Black Prima Galaxy Stars, Glack Bling and some older Prima Flowers I had. YES that’s a bat brad in the middle of the flowers! :) (Making Memories as well) I stamped colored and cut out another pumpkin from Pumpkins Galore and attached it with pop up glue dots! The Jolly Roger flag is from SKULLS stamp set! I stamped it on shimmery vellum I had and wired it onto the bling!

To finish it off I added a ton of Plumeria dew drops onto the bottom and lid. Very cool that some look orange and some look green-ish depending on what light they are in. So that’s it! :) I hope you enjoy!

SUPER exciting news!! The new COSMO CRICKET 6 x 6 pads are now IN STORE!!! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :D

Published by jacksonbelle under Inkadinkado Designs

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are all having a great day so far!! I have to admit it…I could’t make another card with it NOT being a NEW INKADINKADO HALLOWEEEEEEEN STAMP!! Ooooh how I love them! :) Here is the totally awesome sketch that Lynda put together for us!

                                       jbelledtaugustsketch2009.jpg

AND here is what I did for it using the NEW Spider Web clear stamp from Inkadinkado! :)

spidercard2.JPG

It came to me when I saw this sketch that I should use the 3 strips as web’s! I just drew them on with my black journaler and white gel pen. I put lil’ eyes on the spiders too. :) I also used my Black Polka Dot May Arts Ribbon and my totally awesome Drippy Goo Punch from Martha Stewart! When I was all done, I attacked it with my Black Diamond Stickles! I put some on the drippy goo too. :) I hope you enjoy it! I sure had fun making it! :)

Make sure to check out the store blog for our featured product this week…. MAY ARTS!! All the designers have offered up darling cards to highlight! AND don’t forget to see their take on the sketch too!!

More Hampton and some Martha!

Published by jacksonbelle under Hampton Art Samples

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I wanted to share another Hampton Art page that I made for the show! This is a 12 x 12 layout of my boys a few Halloweens ago. Scrapbooking is certainly not my strong point, but it’s nice to get a few done anyway!

hamtonpage222.JPG

It got hidden a bit, but I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch in the back behind the graveyard stamp! :)  Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Hello!! I had to make another quick coon card for another person that’s off camping with us right now.
